It is a project of Asociación Líbere Educación y Desarrollo whose mission is to facilitate the consumption of organic products at a reasonable cost, supporting nearby producers who respect biodiversity, natural cycles and decent work, and paying a fair price for their products.
The aim is for the benefits of the consumption of these healthy, quality products to reach a greater part of the urban population and not just those with greater purchasing power.
This project has been set up with the help and advice of the MARES project and, specifically, its Sea of Food , from Madrid City Council. El Mar de Alimentación of the MARES project in Madrid coordinated a tour of screenings of the documentary "Food Coop" in various districts of the city, which reached thousands of people. Once the territory was shaken up, many people asked themselves: what if we dare to ride one here?
The collective reflections began to be channelled through a Practice-Oriented Learning Community (PLC), an innovative methodology promoted by MARES. In it, the financial viability, the business plans and even the development strategies were studied with different promotion teams. From there, three projects were born: LA OSA (Ventilla), SUPERCOOP (Lavapiés) and BIOLIBERE (Getafe) These three initiatives are immersed in a membership campaign to bring together many people and make the project viable.
