The Cristina Enea Foundation, established by the San Sebastian Town Council and with the support of the Gipuzkoa District Council, set out to coordinate and revitalise the city's environmental awareness policies. One of the tools it has to achieve this end is the Centre for Environment Resources, which includes the Haziera programme. It was set up as a space for seed and knowledge exchange, and acts as a meeting point for people and organisations that are interested in cultivated biodiversity and want to safeguard small-scale agriculture. The seeds archive includes training activities linked to seed breeding and other activities on the rural environment, agriculture and food.
