EspadELA ("ela" means "she" in Galician) is a school of empowerment for rural women that seeks to be a space for meeting, exchange and training.
The school was born in 2018, when it was developed in the municipalities of Arzúa, Betanzos and Ordes-Oroso. In 2019, the second edition of EspadELA is organized in Arzúa, Betanzos and Moeche.
The purpose of the school is to promote the participation of women in community life through processes of personal, social and political empowerment.
This project has been developed by Arabías S.Coop.Gal and has been coordinated by the Women's Secretariat of the Sindicato Labrego Galego (Galician Farmers Union), with the financing of the County Council of A Coruña.
