The market, organised by the Community of Madrid, covers a total of 20 municipalities in the region during weekends, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., between the months of May and October.
This initiative allows visitors to discover firsthand from producers the best agrifood on offer in the region. This includes meat, beer, vegetables, dairy products, bread and sweets, oils and Madrid Designation of Origin wines. Ecologically produced food is also well represented.
The aim of this activity is to show the enormous variety of food produced or grown in the Community of Madrid, as well as to encourage citizens to consume local products.
By buying local products, consumers contribute to boosting the economies of the region's rural areas and to generating sustainable jobs, thereby contributing to rural development.
