It is a critical space of thought and action, promoted by the University of Santiago de Compostela, through the research group HISTAGRA, the seven groups belonging to the REVOLTA network and the Montenoso collective, and has a wide network of collaborators. During the academic year 2016-2017, the PEMAN was a new space for the exchange and production of knowledge.
The curriculum replicates the mechanisms of management and governance of common-management forests (montes vecinales), and aims to ensure that those who participate in it are able to self-manage the program itself, ensuring good governance of it, as the villagers do with a neighborhood forest. The programme promoted a community of research and action and different sessions were held throughout the year, dealing with issues related to the emergence of the commons, feminisms and the new (and old) ruralities. It was the participants of the program who decided which sessions they wanted to develop, combining different methodologies (sociograms, concept maps, drifts...). With this programme, the aim was to vindicate the capacity of citizens to build their own spaces of thought.
As a result of the programm, this book was released (in Galician): https://cutt.ly/4rcWWFH
