In 2007, the international network of World March of Women set itself the task of analysing women's rights throughout the world. The World Charter of Women for Humanity was the result of this analysis. Euskal Herriko Emakumeen Mundu Martxa sought to make this project a reality for the Basque Country by building a tool that would allow for progress in exercising those rights, demanding mechanisms for them to be upheld and update the objectives of the feminist struggles and the strategies to be followed.
